1 poundpasta
box, of choice

1 poundground Italian sausage
mild

1 Tbsoil

1 Tbsbutter

0.5white onion
chopped

salt
to taste

pepper
to taste

1 tablespoonGarlic powder

Red chili flakes
to taste

3garlic cloves
minced

12 ozcan tomato sauce

½ cupvodka

1 cupheavy whipping cream

shredded parmesan cheese
to taste

parsley flakes
Fresh chopped, to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Bring a pot of water to a boil, add salt, and cook your pasta according to the package
Step 2
While your pasta cooks, heat oil in a pan on medium high heat
Step 3
Begin browning your Italian sausage over medium high heat
Step 4
While your sausage is browning, chop 1/2 a white onion then add it to the meat
Step 5
Add butter, onion, garlic, and seasoning to taste to the skillet. Cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes
Step 6
In the same skillet, add your vodka and let it cook out. This should take about 10 minutes. It is cooked out when most of the liquid is gone

Once vodka is cooked out, add tomato sauce and more seasoning to taste. Stir and bring to a simmer and let simmer for 5 minutes
Step 8
Once simmering, slowly mix in heavy cream. Continue stirring occasionally until the sauce is back up to a simmer
Step 9
Add your cooked pasta and stir until well combined
Step 10
Garnish with parmesan cheese and parsley flakes to taste

Serve and enjoy!
