Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, garlic, leeks, parsley, and bread crumbs.
Use your hands to combine the mixture so that the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Step 2
Wet your hands and form the mixture into about 40 walnut-size meatballs.
Step 3
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add as many meatballs as will fit without crowding.
Saute and stir the meatballs until cooked through and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine milk and cheese.
Step 5
When the first batch of meatballs is ready, remove them from the skillet and drain away any extra fat on paper towels.
Step 6
Add them to the bowl containing cheese mixture.
The heat from the meatballs will melt the cheese and make a tasty sauce.
Step 7
Continue cooking meatballs until all are cooked and added to sauce.
Step 8
Serve hot with rice or herbed pasta.
