Instructions

Step 1
Start by finely chopping the onion and two cloves of garlic. Fry these in the olive oil for around 5 minutes over a medium heat. Transfer the onions and garlic to a large bowl and add the mince, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, a tablespoon of tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, mixed herbs, a teaspoon of paprika, the eggs and a sprinkle of salt. Mix well so that all the ingredients are well combined. Fashion this mixture into golf ball-size balls ensuring that they are firm and will not break apart during cooking. This mixture should make 8 to 10 meatballs. Spray a little oil on a foil-covered baking tray, add the meatballs and place in an oven, preheated to 180C. Cook for around 25 minutes turning them at the midpoint. To make the sauce put the chopped tomatoes, two finely chopped garlic cloves, a tablespoon of tomato puree, the cumin, parsley and remaining paprika in a large saucepan. Cook on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Add in the cooked meatballs for a further 10 to 15 minutes, stirring regularly. Serve.
