Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 °F.

Cook beef and onion in a large pan, stirring occasionally, until beef is no longer pink.

Add water, tomato paste, wine, and boullion. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes, allowing flavors to blend.
Step 4
Layer ingredients in an ungreased 13x9 baking dish: 1/2 pasta, 1/2 sauce, 1/2 cheese. Repeat layers, then cover.

To prepare and serve: bake, covered, 20-25 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.

To freeze ahead: do not bake. Cover and freeze. Thaw overnight in refrigerator. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Bake 45-55 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.
