Instructions

Step 1
Finely dice onions and then Sweat onions for 8-10 minutes in butter; taking care not to burn.

Drain Can of mixed vegetables and place in mixing bowl.

Combine mixed vegetables, cheddar cheese, beaten eggs, evaporated milk, salt, paprika, and flour in mixing bowl.
Step 4
Slice spam into 1/4 inch slices. Save 2-3 slices for topping. Dice the remainder of the spam and place into mixture in mixing bowl.
Step 5
With the reserved sliced spam, cut diagonally accord each slice to produce long triangles. Set aside.
Step 6
Once onions are cooled, add into spam and egg mixture in mixing bowl along with salt to taste. Sprinkle top with cheddar cheese and Lay reserved spam in a spoke-like pattern overtop of the mixture
Step 7
Pour mixture into prepared silicone tart dish or into a pie crust of your choice. Baked in oven at 400 degrees for 35-45 minutes. For pie crust users: wrapt outer pie edge in foil during the latter half of cooking to prevent over-browning.
Step 8
Once filling is set and removed from oven, let rest 5-10 minutes prior to serving.
