1 cbutter

2 ¼ call-purpose flour

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove 2 tsp zest and squeeze 5 tbsp juice from limes.
Step 2
In a large bowl beat butter with a mixer on high 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar. Beat until combined, scraping bowl as needed. Beat in zest, 1/4 cup of the lime juice (save remaining juice for frosting), and the vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can. Stir in any remaining flour and the nuts. Divide dough in half.
Step 3
On a lightly floured surface roll half of the dough at a time to 1/4 inch thick. Using 1- to 2-inch cookie cutters, cut out dough. Place cutouts 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Step 4
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown. Remove; cool on wire racks.
Step 5
Spread Lime-Cream Cheese Frosting onto cooled cookies. If you like, sprinkle with additional lime zest.

In a medium bowl beat half of an 8-oz. pkg. softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, remaining 1 tbsp. lime juice, and 1 tsp. vanilla with a mixer on medium until smooth.
