Instructions
Step 1
Place potatoes, carrots, and water into a saucepan and boil over medium heat until tender.
Step 2
In a large saucepan, saute onion and butter until tender.
Step 3
Stir in the flour, salt, thyme, rosemary, and pepper. Cook for one minute.
Step 4
Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes
Step 5
Dump the saucepan with the carrots, potatoes, and water into the large saucepan with the onion and flour mixture (the roux).
Step 6
Heat until desired eating temperature.
