These CRUMBL Oreo cookies with buttercream frosting are a rich chocolate Oreo cookie topped with a luscious cream frosting and decorated with Oreos crumbs. These are inspired by the famous CRUMBL bakery! This recipe was adapted from Autumn from www.itsalwaysautumn.com

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Step 1
Line baking sheet with parchement paper; set aside.
Step 2
In food processor, grind the 25 oreos until finely crushed. In med. bowl, mix crushed oreos, flour, cornstarch, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, cream of tartar, & salt; set aside.
Step 3
Cream softened butter, brown sugar, powdered sugar, & sugar until light & creamy.
Step 4
Add egg & oil; mix again until combined, scraping bowl, when needed. Add dry mixture in two increments, mixing between additions until the dry mixture disappears.
Step 5
Using lg. cookie scoop, scoop out 10 equally sized cookie dough balls. Roll balls in hands; place on prepared cookie sheet.
Step 6
Bake (8-9 min.)
Step 7
Cool on baking sheet (5-10 min.); transferring to cooling rack.
Buttercream Frosting
Step 8
Cream butter, powdered sugar, ½T cream, & vanilla together until light & fluffy. (Add the other ½T cream if frosting seems too thick.)

Spread a little frosting on top of each cooled down cookie; sprinkle with some crushed Oreo cookies

These chocolate sugar cookies can be stored in airtight container at room temp. (up to 3 days.)

… in the fridge (up to 7 days). Make sure to bring them down to room temp. before enjoying them, (otherwise, they will be too hard.)

Or frozen (up to 2 mo.) Thaw in fridge overnight to return to room temp. before enjoying.
