Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and lemon peel in a large bowl.
Step 3
Stir to thoroughly blend.
Step 4
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 5
Optionally add a garnish of a walnut, cherry or pecan half, by pressing in the center of each cookie.
Step 6
Bake for 9 - 11 minutes - the edges should be lightly golden brown.
Step 7
Cool on the sheet and then transfer to a wire rack to completely cool
