Instructions
Step 1
2 whole frozen octopus, defrost a day before preparing. The next day take a big pot of water. Let it boil, for how ever long it takes to boil. Rinse octopus under water. Cut around the mouth. Remove the eyes from head. Rinse octopus under cold water again. Then submerge the octopus 3 times in and out of the water one at a time. This is to tenderize the octopus. Once both octopi pass through the process, let both octopi sit and add a tablespoon of salt in the boiling water. Cover pot and let it cook for a hour. Then poke the octopus with a knife, when the knife goes through smoothly take it out of the water. Next drain out the water from the pot. Make sure to remove all liquid, this is best to put in a strainer to remove all liquid from the octopus. After this entire process is done, it is best to keep refrigerated at least for three hours before putting the octopus on the grill. Dressing: mix all the ingredients together to make the dressing that you will brush on the octopus. Next step is to brush the dressing on the octopus before grilling. Once dressing is on the octopus put the octopus on the grill on medium heat. Cook one side for about 10 minutes, flip it over and cook it for another 10 minutes. To give more flavor brush dressing once more over. Remove octopus from grill and serve!
