Ingredients

2 tspoil
1 lbground beef
1 cuponion
finely chopped
4 clovesgarlic
finely minced
1 tspitalian seasoning
1 x 24 ozitalian pasta sauce
8 cupslow-sodium chicken broth
1 x 14 ozcan crushed tomatoes
1 Tbspvinegar
1 tspgranulated sugar
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
1 tspdried oregano
1 tspdried parsley
⅓ tspdried rosemary
1bay leaf
10lasagna noodles
broken into 1 inch pieces, uncooked
¼ cupbasil
roughly chopped
⅓ cupheavy cream
⅓ cupmozzarella cheese
freshly grated, shredded
⅓ cupparmesan cheese
shredded
Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in a nonstick pot over medium high heat
Step 2
Add in onions and sauté until soft
Step 3
Add in ground beef, garlic, and italian seasoning and cook until beef is browned
Step 4
Drain excess fat, if needed
Step 5
Add pasta sauce, broth, crushed tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, rosemary, bay leaf, lasagna noodles, and half of the basil
Step 6
Mix everything together and bring to a boil
Step 7
Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer until noodles are fully cooked, about 15 minutes. Stir often to prevent the soup from burning and sticking to the pot
Step 8
Remove and discard the bay leaf
Step 9
Stir in heavy cream and the remaining basil
Step 10
Turn off heat and sprinkle shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese and serve
