half the croissants lengthways
Step 2
brush the cut sides with mustard
Step 3
sandwich each croissant back together with a slice of ham
Step 4
arrange the crossaints on their sides in a large greased baking dish
Step 5
scatter over the cheese
Step 6
whisk together the eggs and milk and add plenty of seasoning
Step 7
cover with foil and and chill for at least 6 hours or overnight
Step 8
preheat oven to 180oC
Step 9
uncover and cook the strata for 1 hour until puffed and golden
Step 10
leave to rest for 5 mins before serving
