6eggs
2 cupsmilk
or 1 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream to make it richer
½ cupbrown sugar
1 Tbspvanilla
½ tspcinnamon
1 Tbspbutter

⅓ cupflour
⅓ cupbrown sugar
¼ tspcinnamon
¼ tspsalt
1 stickbutter
cold, cut into pieces
¼ cupwalnuts
2 Tbsppowdered sugar

Instructions
Step 1
Step 1: Grease a 9x13 pan with butter or cooking spray. Arrange the slices of bread in the pan, overlapping the slices. If using a loaf of bread, slice, tear or cut into cubes and evenly layer the bread in the pan.
Step 2
Step 2: In a large bowl, add 6 eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon then whisk together. Pour this mixture over the bread evenly, making sure to get in between the slices of bread.
Step 3
Step 3: In a separate bowl, add flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, butter and walnuts. Mix this together with a pastry cutter, fork or your hands to crumble the ingredients until the mixture forms small pebble-like texture. Sprinkle this mixture on top of the bread. Cover the pan with foil tightly and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
Step 4
Step 4: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar, top with fresh fruit and maple syrup.
