This is what my family loves to eat during new year ( both western & lunar). The savory beef broth & the chewy rice cakes combo is so comforting and delicious! Also, we always pair it with kimchi. Hope you enjoy it!

Instructions
Step 1
In a pot, heat oil over medium.
Step 2
Sauté beef till brown.
Step 3
Add water. Bring to a boil and remove scum.
Step 4
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Soak rice cakes in cold water for 20 minutes. Drain.
Step 6
Add garlic and rice cakes in broth. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove foam.
Step 7
Season with salt & pepper and sesame oil.
Step 8
Beat an egg. Drizzle in broth slowly.
Step 9
Garnish with green onions and seaweed. Enjoy!
