Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, semolina flour, dark brown sugar, salt, and yeast.

Step 2
Add warm water and melted salted butter. Mix the dough with a wooden spoon until it comes together.

Step 3
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Step 4
Grease a deep-dish pizza pan with butter. Place the dough into the pan, and use your hands to press the dough up the sides of the pan and create a raised crust.
Step 5
In a skillet, cook the turkey sausage over medium heat until browned, then add onions and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6
Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, thyme, salt, black pepper, and chili powder to the skillet, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 7
Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Step 8
Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza dough and top with sausage mixture, followed by a bit of parmesan cheese.

Step 9
Bake the pizza for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 10
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
