Instructions
Step 1
1. Cut the longer stems from the turnip greens. Remove larger stems all together from the greens.
Step 2
2. Add to cold water and wash at least three times to ensure the greens are clean.
Step 3
3. In a large stockpot, add cooking meat and add enough water to cover the meat. Season water with salt and pepper and cook down until the meat is tender.

3. Add cleaned greens to the stock pot once the meat is tender. Add garlic cloves and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Step 5
4. Add turnip root and cook on medium heat into the greens and the roots are tender.
Step 6
5. Once the greens are tender, remove the greens and place them into a flat bowl or pan.
Step 7
6. Use a saucer and press excess juice from the greens and add back to the pot.
Step 8
7. Using a chopper, chop the greens and the roots into small pieces.
