Steam off the leaves of cabbage one at a time and set aside. Chop up any remaining cabbage if you want to add this to your rolls. It is easier to just freeze your heads of cabbage then let thaw overnight. The leaves peel right off rather than the difficult steaming process.

Sauté Creole seasoning. In a very large bowl, combine fresh ground beef, fresh sausage, raw rice, sautéd seasoning, salt and pepper and optional cabbage and jalapenos. Roll a small potato-sized amount of mixture into each cabbage leave and place one at a time into crock pot, layering them to the top. Sprinkle black pepper on top and add a couple of inches of water to crock pot. Place lid and cook several hours until done. Enjoy!
