Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Allow steak to come to room temperature. Season steak with salt and pepper. In a heavy, ovenproof skillet over medium high heat, brown steak in oil for about 4 minutes on each side. Bake, uncovered, for 4 minutes or until meat reaches desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and rest, covered with foil, for 5 minutes. IN the same skillet, cook mushrooms (sliced) over medium heat until golden brown, 4-5 minutes. Add broth. Bring to a boil and cook until the liquid is reduced by about half.
