Instructions

Step 1
1. Place root beer and ribs into a large deep pot and boil gently for 1 hour. 2. Pour remaining root beer into slow cooker on high heat along with the ketchup, brown sugar, dill pickle juice, onion, garlic and pepper, and mix well. 3. Meanwhile, place ribs into a large preheated frying pan with sesame oil and seer them until they are golden brown. 4. Transfer the ribs, along with all the crispy drippings to the slow cooker and cook on high heat for one hour. 5. Reduce heat to low and continue to cook for another 6 hours, or until meat is falling off the bones. (No knives or teeth should be necessary in order to be able to devour these ribs easily.) 6. Serve with whatever you like; rice, noodles, or my personal favorite would be fried potatoes.
