Thanksgiving Green Bean Casserole

This is my version of a thanksgiving classic, green bean casserole. Over the years, I’ve made many changes to it according to the liking of my family so you’re welcome to make any necessary changes but this is my rough frame of my green bean casserole.

Ingredients
12 servings
1 packagebacon
cut into bite sizes
3 poundsfrozen green beans
or fresh, if using frozen i like to use precut, you can also use canned you’ll need 4x14oz cans for that
2 tablespoonssoy sauce
⅓ cuplight brown sugar
¼ cupbutter
melted, i use salted but you can use unsalted to control the sodium
1 teaspoongarlic powder
¼ teaspoonpepper
¼ teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Step 1
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees

Step 2
Prepare bacon according to package (I like to fry it in a pan but you can also bake or air fry it)
Step 3
Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, melted butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper into a small bowl. Stir until well combined.

Put all your green beans into a baking dish, use the appropriate size for the amount of green beans you have. (I like using the disposable foil trays for thanksgiving.)

Next, pour mixture over green beans and add your bacon. Gently stir, until beans are evenly coated.
Step 6
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
