Ingredients
8 servings
1onion
medium, chopped
2carrots
peeled & chopped
3 stickscelery
chopped
1 tablespoonolive oil
2 tablespoonsbutter
3cloves garlic
minced
1 Tbspitalian seasoning
1 tspsage
3 tablespoonsflour
8 cupschicken broth
1 cupwild rice
uncooked
1rotisserie chicken
shredded
½ cupfrozen peas
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
½ cupheavy cream
Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil and butter over medium high heat. Add the onion, carrots and celery.
Step 2
Cook 6-8 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Add in the garlic, seasonings, and flour. Stir 1 minute. Whisk in the chicken broth then add the rice.
Step 4
Bring to a boil, turn to a low boil, partially cover the pot and cook 15 minutes.
Step 5
Add in the meat and peas. Cook another 15-20 minutes. Add the cream and stir together
