Step 1
Trim and cut the beans into even lengths. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over med-high heat. Mince the garlic and add it to the pan, Sauté briefly without letting it brown. Add the beans and stir well until they are well-coated in oil and starting to sear.
Step 2
Add the remainder of the ingredients except the butter, cover tightly and reduce the heat to medium low. Simmer for approximately 7minutes or until the beans are just tender. Just before serving, sir in the butter to form a rich sauce.
