Instructions

Step 1
In a medium pan- cook bacon until crispy. Set aside and add sliced onions to the pan with bacon grease. Continue to stir and cook down for 10-15 minutes until caramelized, add in minced garlic and cook for 5 more minutes (if your onions are getting too crispy add a little water or chicken broth to soften), take off heat, and cool.
Step 2
Once bacon and onions are cooled- add to a bowl with cream cheese, goat cheese, salt & pepper. Mix well & place in the fridge to chill for a few minutes.
Step 3
Time to assemble breading station- one bowl with whisked egg, one bowl with both of the breadcrumbs, and a third bowl for the flour. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop goat cheese mixture into 12 individual balls and place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Take out of the freezer and dip in the flour, then the egg, then flour again, then egg again and then breadcrumbs, continue for all 12. Place back in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Heat your air fryer to 350F, spray the basket with oil and spread goat cheese bites out evenly, spray tops with a little more oil and cook for 6-8 minutes until crispy, flipping halfway through.
Step 6
Serve warm with hot honey & enjoy!
