Instructions
Step 1
Add butter and olive oil in a non-stick pot and let it melt over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the rice, all of the listed spices, and give everything a good mix until every single piece of rice is coated with oil and turmeric.
Step 3
Add garlic and shallot, and sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add water and stock paste or cube, let it come to a boil on high heat.
Step 5
Once at a boil, cover and lower heat to low/simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Take rice off heat and let it rest for 10 mins with the lid on. Fluff rice with a fork, and serve.
