Step 1
Combine butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a medium saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Cool slightly. Add eggs, vanilla, and salt to mixture; mix well.

2. Pour filling into unbaked pastry shell, and top with pecan halves. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes. Serve warm or cold. (Mobile home oven- start at 300 for 40 minutes)

Rum Pecan Pie: Prepare recipe as directed above, adding 3 Tbsp. rum with the eggs; mix well.
