Instructions

Step 1
Sift together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg, stir in the water and molasses.

Gradually stir the sifted ingredients into the molasses mixture.

Use a rolling pin and flour on a board to roll the dough by parts and cut out shapes (about 0.5 cm thick).
Step 6
Preheat oven to 350 F.
