Instructions
For the Dough
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, yeast, and salt. Mix in the warm water until ingredients come together.
Step 3
Add remaining flour and start to knead the dough for about 3 minutes or until fully mixed. Add basil.
Step 4
Shape dough round and place in bowl with drizzle of olive oil to coat and cover with plastic wrap. Place in warm/room temperature area for 10-15 minutes for dough to rest and rise.
Step 5
As dough is resting, prep toppings to size.
Remove dough from bowl and place on floured parchment paper pan.
Step 6
Press on dough with fingers and move outward in circular motion to edge of pan to about 12" in size; dough should not exceed more than 1/4" thick.
Step 7
Place toppings in order by sauce, cheese, pepperoni, olive oil and black pepper to taste.
Step 8
Poor a glass of Francis Coppola's 2018 Pinot Noir and enjoy!
