Baked Whole Wheat Pita Chips

Whole wheat pita chips are available in many supermarkets but often are fried and heavily salted. These are quick and easy to make and allow you to control the flavoring. They are perfect served with dips or alongside soups. These can easily be jazzed up with any spice like cumin, paprika, or curry powder if you like, or even herbs like rosemary or thyme. Add in step 2.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2
Whisk together olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic, if using.
Step 3
Brush oil mixture on the rough, inside part of the pita, then stack pita and cut into sixths or desired size.
Step 4
Arrange pita pieces on a baking sheet and bake until crispy and browned, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cool and serve.
