Ingredients
2 servings
1 cupsugar
¼ cupsugar
½ cupvegetable oil
¼ cupmolasses
1egg
2 cupsflour
½ tspginger
½ tspcloves
½ tspcinnamon
salt
1 ½ tspbaking soda
For the dip
Instructions
Step 1
combine sugar, oil, molasses and egg
Step 2
stir in soda, salt spices and flour. dough will be stiff
Step 3
divide into 4 portions and shape into a strip (1/4" high)
Step 4
place the strips (or cookies 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet
Step 5
sprinkle with sugar
Step 6
bake at 375 til edges are brown and tops start to crack. For softer cookies bake 6-7 mins. Crisp: 8-9 mins
Step 7
Cool 2 mins on pan and cut into 1' slices
Step 8
For optional dip, combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl until smooth. Chill.
