Instructions

Step 1
To make the dough: combine all the ingredients for the yeast mixture. Cover this yeast mixture with foil for 10 minutes. In the meantime, combine the dough ingredients and add the yeast mixture (after 10 minutes).
Step 2
Make sure that an elastic dough is formed. Shape the dough into a ball, place in a bowl and cover with foil. Let the dough rest for an hour and a half.
Step 3
In the meantime, make the vanilla cream. Heat the milk and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Combine the egg yolks, sugar, flour and cornstarch in a bowl.
Step 4
Now add the warm milk to the egg mixture. Stir this until everything is well dissolved. Return the entire mixture to the saucepan and heat until a thicker vanilla cream is formed.
Step 5
Put the vanilla cream in a bowl and cover with foil. Now let the vanilla cream cool completely in the fridge.
Step 6
Once the dough has rested, you can start rolling out the dough into a rectangle. So that you can make 12 rolls in the end.
Step 7
Now spread half of the vanilla cream on the dough and sprinkle some brown sugar over the vanilla cream. Now it's time to roll up the dough and cut out 12 rolls.
Step 8
Place the 12 rolls in an oven dish and bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Step 9
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly for 5 minutes.
Step 10
Now spread the rest of the vanilla cream on the rolls and sprinkle a lot of brown sugar over it. Now it's time to burn the sugar so that the sugar caramelizes.
Step 11
And enjoy! The creme brulee rolls are best when eaten warm immediately. Otherwise, pop them in the microwave for a few seconds.
