Preparation
Step 1
Make the fruit layers in a 9x9 baking dish. Wash, peel, and thinly slice the apples. Place a total of 3 layers of apples, separated by some scattering some blueberries in between, into the baking dish.

Make the topping. Melt butter in a small bowl in the microwave, in 10 second increments. Combine all dry ingredients (oats, flour, sugar, and cinnamon) in a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Evenly pour the topping over the fruit layers.

Bake uncovered for 40 minutes at 375F, or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown.
Step 5
Let cool and serve warm or at room temperature.
Step 6
Optionally serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
