Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
Peel and cube potatoes, then bring them to a boil. Boil until you can easily poke a fork through potatoes (about 20 minutes)
Step 3
Over a medium heat, sauté minced onion until translucent
Step 4
Add the garlic and cook for a moment before adding the ground turkey
Step 5
Brown off the ground turkey and remove the excess liquid
Step 6
Season the meat with all of the spices (salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, paprika)
Step 7
Add the Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste and cook for a moment
Step 8
Then add the flour and stir until combined
Step 9
Add the broth and stir
Step 10
Turn the heat off and stir in the frozen veggies
Step 11
Let the meat mixture rest until the mashed potatoes are done
Step 12
One the potatoes are tender, drain the liquid and add the Greek yogurt, heavy cream, butter, salt and pepper
Step 13
Using a potato mashed or a blender, mash the potatoes. If they are dry, add a splash of whole milk
Step 14
Once the potatoes are done, flatten the meat mixture evenly in the cast iron before adding a layer of mashed potatoes on top
Step 15
Flatten the mashed potatoes in an even layer and add a pretty design if you would like
Step 16
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes then broil for a few minutes at the end to get a golden and crispy top
Step 17
Let the Shepard’s pie cool and enjoy.
