Instructions
Step 1
Place the sesame oil in the pot and press Sauté. Adjust to More or High setting. Heat oil for 3 minutes then add the onion and sauté, stirring for 3 minutes or until softened.
Step 2
Add the beef and sauté until lightly seared on all sides- about 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add the garlic and saute for 1 minute more.
Step 4
Add the orange juice, beef broth, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Secure the lid, move the valve to the sealing position, press Keep Warm/Cancel, then Pressure Cook or Manual on high pressure for 12 minutes. Allow a 10 minute natural release then a quick release.
Step 6
Meanwhile, make a cornstarch slurry by mixing the cornstarch with 3 tablespoons of cold water. Set aside.
Step 7
Stir in the honey and hoisin sauce. Press Keep Warm/Cancel, then Saute and adjust to More or High setting and bring the sauce to a simmer.Once the sauce is simmering, immediately stir in the corstarch slurry and zest and allow to simmer for 30 seconds before turning the pot to the Keep Warm setting.
