Cajun Style Air Fried Onion Rings
Throwback to when I made these bomb air-fried onion rings for #nationalonionringday. It is hard to believe how much I disliked onions when I was young. Now I can’t imagine most dishes with them. Lol.
Are there any veggies or fruits you hated when you were young but now love?
Ingredients:
1 Large Onion
Dry Batter
1. 1 cup of flour
2. 2 tsp of cajun seasoning
Wet Batter
1. cup of oat milk or plant-based milk
2. 5 tbsp of vegan egg ( I used JUST eggs)
3. 4 Tbsp of flour
4. 1 tsp of cajun seasoning
Panko Mix
1. 1 cup of panko
2. 1 tsp garlic powder
Step 1. Cut your onions. (I like mine thick)
Step 2. Mix 1 cup of flour and 2 tsp of cajun seasoning. Dip wet onion rings into dry batter.
Step 3. Mix 5 tbsp vegan eggs, 4 tbsp flour, 1 tsp of cajun seasoning, and 1 cup of oat milk. Dip onion rings into the wet batter.
Step 4. Mix 1 cup of panko with 1 tsp of garlic powder. Dip onion rings into panko mix.
Step 5. Air fry at 350 degrees for about 10 -12 minutes. Spray with olive oil for an even fry.
Enjoy with your favorite dip.
