Instructions

Step 1
For the syrup combine water, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan, bring it to boil and keep boiling for 8-10min

Preheat oven to 190C

For the cake: In a bowl combine all dry ingredients. then add melted butter and milk. Mix until combine.

Transfer to the 10-inch springform pan that's been greased and lined with parchment.
Step 5
Cut a diamond or square design in the cake with a butter knife. Place an almond onto each pre-cut square.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown

Pour syrup on top and enjoy!
