Instructions

Step 1
Start by peeling the Zest from 1/2 of one Orange.
Step 2
Now, juice the peeled Orange. Don’t forget to strain the juice before adding it to the wine.
Step 3
Cut the second Orange into round pieces. You can later put these pieces into cups with Glühwein as decoration.
Step 4
In a pot combine 750 ml (1 bottle) of Red Wine with Orange Zest, Orange Juice and Orange cuts. Add 3/4 (150 g) Sugar. If you prefer your Wine to be less sweet, consider adding less amount of Sugar.
Step 5
Now, add 2 Cinnamon sticks, 5 Star Anise and 10 Whole Cloves to the pot.
Step 6
Put the pot on a medium heat and warm the mixture until it just starts steaming, make sure it’s not boiling.
Step 7
Lower the heat and continue simmering for about 20-30 minutes.
Step 8
Remove from heat and serve right away!
