Instructions

Step 1
In big pot, heat 1 cup of vegetable oil and fry pork leg about 3mins per side or until overall skin turns yellowish. Remove pork leg set aside
Step 2
Remove most of vegetable oil, leave about 1 Tbsp remaining in the pot. Add minced garlic, chopped coriander root, white pepper and cinnamon. Stir until golden brown
Step 3
Add palm sugar, stir until all sugar dissolves. Add thin soya sauce and black soya sauce, stir.
Step 4
Add water and a cube of pork stock into the pot. Stir until pork stock dissolved.
Step 5
Put pork leg back in the pot. Stock should cover 85% of pork leg. If it is too less just add more water.
Step 6
Cover the lid and braised for 1 hour before turn pork leg over and braised for another 2 hours or until the meat fall of the bone easily
Step 7
Serve pork leg on rice. Side with boiled egg, pickle cabbage and Thai broccoli
