Instructions

Step 1
Put everything in a bowl and rub the butter between your fingers till the dough comes together. keep working it until it becomes a clay like texture.
Step 2
Add red food colouring till the desired shade (remember, red always needs more than you think). Alternatively, you can make pink hearts and save stress.
Step 3
Separate to 13/15g pieces, and shape each into a triangle. Take 3 triangles, and slide in the cake pop stick through the fat end towards the pointy end of each three. Shape into hearts.
Step 4
Bake at 350f/175c/gas 4 for 10 minutes until lightly brown underneath.
Step 5
Leave to cool on the tray for 5-10 minutes to ensure you wont lift the stick through the soft dough.
Step 6
Decorate with royal icing whichever way you desire, I chose a little shine.
Step 7
Makes 5 sets of 3. You can experiment with different sizes of hearts too!
Step 8
Eat and enjoy!
