The ultimate party food doesn’t have to be ordered. With a little preparation—letting the dough rise while you’re at class—you can make it fresh. If you use frozen dough, let it thaw in the fridge overnight.

8 ouncesshredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
Step 1
Before you go to class, place oil in a large mixing bowl. Place dough on top and flip it a couple of times to coat it completely. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap and leave on the counter at room temperature for at least 2 hours.

Step 2
Remove plastic and punch down the risen dough. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 3
Preheat oven to 450°F, or as high as it goes. Place dough in the middle of a 14½-by-½-inch round pizza pan. Stretch dough a little at a time until it reaches the edge of the pan all around. This will take a few minutes. Stretch firmly, but don’t tear holes in the dough.

Step 4
With a spoon, spread sauce over dough. Sprinkle cheese over sauce, covering as much of the surface as possible. Add toppings, if desired.

Step 5
Bake for about 22 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Slice into 8 pieces and serve immediately.
