Ingredients

4 cupschicken broth
1 cupwater
2 Tbspunsalted butter
2 tsppoultry seasoning
1 tsponion powder
1 tspgarlic powder
1 tspkosher salt
1 tspdried parsley
1 tspdried basil
½ tspblack pepper
1 lbboneless skinless chicken breast
1 cupall purpose flour
3 cupsmilk
4 cupsfrozen peas and carrots

Instructions
Step 1
In heavy bottomed Dutch oven or large wide pot, over medium heat, add chicken broth, water, butter and all seasonings. Cover and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Meanwhile, cut chicken breast into bite sized pieces. Add to soup mixture. Stir to combine and cover.
Step 3
In a sealable container combine flour and milk. Seal tightly and shake vigorously to combine well. You will create a smooth flour mixture for thickening your sauce called a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into broth, stirring constantly. Add frozen vegetables. Cover.
Step 4
Combine dumpling ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix well with a fork. Remove cover from stew and stir well. Flour a pastry mat and roll the dumpling dough to approximately 1/4" thickness. Cut into 1 inch pieces and add to stew, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
