Instructions
Step 1
Cut the florets from stemp of the broccoli (if the florets are too big, cut them into smaller pieces). Cut the stemp into bite size pieces and add everything into a large bowl then wash and drain the broccoli.
Step 2
Boil a kettle with water.
While the kettle is boiling, peel and cut the garlic.
Step 3
Tranfer the water from the kettle into a large cooking pot, add salt and bring to a boil on high heat.
Step 4
When the water is boiling add the broccoli and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 5
In a separate cooking pot add olive oil. When the oil is hot, press and add the garlic. Cook for a few seconds then add a few spoons of water from the broccoli.
Step 6
Pick the cooked broccoli and add it to the garlic. (Keep the pot of water in which you cooked the broccoli)
Step 7
In the pot of water (from broccoli) add the pasta and cook it according to the instructions from the package.
Keep in eye on the sauce and mix if needed.
Step 8
When the pasta is cooked save a bowl of pasta water then drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
Step 9
Mix well and add 2 tbsp of the starchy pasta water and the parmezan to thicken the sauce.
Step 10
Add the pepper, mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes untill the sauce thickens (add more starchy pasta water if needed) add more salt if needed according to your taste.
Step 11
Serve, add some parmesan on top and enjoy!
