Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven with pizza steel on top rack at highest setting. Once preheated, set a timer for one hour to make sure the steel is fully preheated. Once the pizza steel is fully preheated, cover the wooden pizza peel with flour and fold out and toss the room temperature pizza dough and then place it on the peel. After this, quickly spoon out the pizza sauce for a base and then rip pieces of mozzarella to cover the pizza. Leave just a little bit of mozzarella. Then also rip up some pieces of basil and put them on. Then slide the pizza carefully onto the pizza steel. Bake for 8 minutes with a half rotation midway through. Retrieve with the other pizza peel and let sit for 5 minutes. Cut into six slices and enjoy.
