Instructions
Step 1
In a small bowl soak okra in egg for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 2
In a separate bowl combine cornmeal, salt and pepper. Dredge okra pieces in cornmeal mixture, coating evenly.
Step 3
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place okra in hot oil; stir continuously. Reduce heat to medium when okra starts to brown. Drain on paper towels.
