Instructions

Step 1
Sweat onion in large pot or dutch oven
Step 2
Add garlic and cook until fragrant
Step 3
Add ground beef and brown, drain fat and continue to brown until a fond forms on the pan

Add chicken stock and scrape fond off bottom of pan
Step 5
Add canned ingredients, including liquids and stir to combine
Step 6
Add seasonings above, including brown sugar, measure with your heart Also feel free to use other seasonings, it's your chili

Add a handful of dark chocolate chips to add sweetness and depth of flavor
Step 8
Simmer on low for at least 30 minutes, the longer the better
