Instructions
Step 1
Heat a dutch oven or large skillet over medium heat and add your ground beef and sausage and season with salt and pepper (if your beef is lean, you may want to add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan first
Step 2
Break up your meat into small chunks while it browns and cooks through (about 7 minutes)
Step 3
Add your onion and garlic and cook for another 5-7 minutes
Step 4
Make a hole in your meat mixture and add your tomato paste, stirring while it caramelizes a bit then mix it into your meat along with your diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and coconut sugar
Step 5
Bring the sauce to a boil and then reduce to a simmer Cover and cook for 20-30 minutes (at least - we have cooked it for up to an hour before) stirring occasionally
Step 6
While the sauce cooks, make your spaghetti noodles according to package instructions
