Step 1
Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan set over a medium heat. Once the butter stops foaming, add the apple wedges and season with a little salt and a grinding of black pepper. Cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes until the apples are starting to brown.
Step 2
Add the maple syrup and cook for a further 2-3 minutes until golden and the sauce is slightly syrupy.
