EASY to shop, make, & eat.

EASY to shop, make, & eat.

We're hungry, we're tired, we're broke, and we're one failed recipe away from a nervous breakdown. These recipes are: *EASY TO SHOP FOR* No expensive ingredients, no scavenger hunts, and no buying an entire bottle of something you’ll use exactly once and then find in the back of your fridge three years later. (I'm looking at you, liquid smoke). *EASY TO MAKE* Quick, simple, and low on prep. Basic cooking skills required. And for the occasional recipe that takes a little extra effort? It better make enough for two nights. *EASY TO EAT* Familiar flavors, easy ingredients, and no weird textures. Curated with the picky-ish adult in mind, because being grown up doesn’t mean you suddenly have to like mushrooms. (I won't do it, and you can't make me.) I'm starting this community because I'm at my wits' end with cooking. I hate it. I'm over it. And yet, somehow, these people in my house keep expecting me to feed them every single night. Rude. I'm not allowing recipe contributions because I tried that once in a community for picky (chicken nugget) kids, and people were posting recipes with seafood and zesty sauces. Y'ALL. My kid barely eats spaghetti. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. But if you find a recipe you think might actually work for this community of hungry, tired, broke, and generally over-it people, drop it in the comments! I'll give it a try. If it passes the test, I'll share it with everyone. I'm just trying to get dinner on the table without crashing out. I'm a good mom. I swear. *Cover photo is Santa Fe Baked Chicken by everydaydishes.com. My FAVORITE of this board so far.)
