Step 1
WHEN MAKING THE INSTANT MASHED POTATOES, USE CHICKEN BROTH & HEAVY CREAM INSTEAD OF WATER. DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF BUTTER NOTED ON THE PACKAGE INSTRUCTIONS. ADD SALT & PEPPER.
Step 2
AFTER THE MASHED POTATO MIXTURE IS FINISHED, ADD THE SHREDDED CHEESE & COMBINE.
Step 3
SPOON THE MASHED POTATOES INTO A BAKING DISH.
Step 4
IN A PLASTIC BAG, CRUSH THE RITZ CRACKERS & ADD THE CHOPPED BACON AND GARLIC SEASONING. SHAKE TO COMBINE.
Step 5
TOP THE MASHED POTATOES WITH THE BACON RITZ MIXTURE. MELT THE REMAINING BUTTER (2-3 TABLESPOONS) AND DRIZZLE OVER THE TOP OF THE RITZ.
Step 6
COVER THE DISH WITH FOIL. BAKE AT 350F FOR 30 MINUTES. REMOVE THE FOIL AND BAKE FOR ANOTHER 20 MINUTES UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
