Ingredients

1 TbspOil
Olive Oil, or Avocado Oil
12 ozChicken Sausage Links
Sliced, I used Trader Joe's Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausage
4cloves garlic
minced
1 cupOrzo
dry
¾ cupchicken broth
2 cupsTomato Sauce
I used Rao's Marinara
½ tsponion powder
½ tsporegano
½ tspdried basil
½ tspred pepper flakes
½ cupMozzarella
Shredded
½ cupParmesan
Shredded
¼ cupfresh basil
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat Oven to 450 degrees F.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large oven-safe skillet set over medium heat.
Step 3
Add sliced chicken sausage and cook for 5 minutes. Flip a few times to cook both sides.
Step 4
Add minced garlic and orzo and cook for 2 minutes until lightly toasted and fragrant, stirring often.
Step 5
Add chicken broth, tomato sauce, onion powder, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Step 6
Stir all ingredients together and let it come to a boil.
Step 7
Once boiling, add a lid and lower temperature to a simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 8
Top with the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Step 9
Bake for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 10
Serve immediately with fresh basil on top.
