Ingredients
4 servings
4Salmon Fillets
boneless, skin-on
2 TSPKosher Salt
use half the amount if using iodized table salt
0.75 TSPBlack Pepper
freshly cracked, to taste
2 TBLSGinger Garlic Paste
use 1 TBLS of each if using separate bottles of ginger paste and garlic paste
2 TSPGaram Masala
store-bought is fine, but I highly recommend using homemade garam masala for best flavor and taste
1 tspground cumin
1 tspcoriander powder
1 ½ tspturmeric powder
1 TSPground Cayenne
to taste
0.5 TSPChili powder
to taste, I used Mexican Hot Chili Powder, but Kashmiri or regular chili powder is good too
0.5 TSPTandoori powder
Color, you can use a drop of red food coloring instead, or leave it out since it’s only for color and won’t affect the taste
2 TBLSLemon Juice
freshly squeezed
1 tblswater
2 TBLSOlive Oil
or any other cooking oil, for frying
red onion
